Share the spirit of the holiday season with Elkhorn families in need!
The Giving Project provides gifts for students and their families in the Elkhorn School District. Spring Ridge families provided gifts for dozens of kids last year, making a big impact on their families. Your chance to help is coming up starting Tuesday, November 26th! Womenade of Elkhorn has collected the wish lists and each gift will be placed on a mitten to display in Elkhorn elementary and middle schools.
If you would like to participate in this year’s project, here’s what you need to do:
- Select a mitten with an item(s) that you are comfortable purchasing. (Only adults are allowed to check out a mitten.) Mittens will be available in the front office starting Tuesday, November 26th.
- Record the midden(s) you have taken in the Celebration of Giving notebook.
- Purchase item(s).
- Gift wrap the item(s).
- Firmly secure the mitten(s) to the outside of the wrapped item. This is the only way we know what is inside the wrapped gift and who the gift belongs to. If the gift is a gift card, please include the receipt showing the exact amount on the card.
- Return the wrapped item to Spring Ridge no later than Wednesday, December 11th at 3:00 pm. People who have not turned gifts in by this time will receive a friendly reminder call.
You may select a mitten(s) both before and after school starting on November 26th. Mittens will be available until the morning of December 6th. (so, once morning is over, the mittens will disappear!)
Thank you so much for participating! If you have any questions, please contact Chaley Chandler at email@example.com.
